Collection for Pleasant Township Food Pantry / details / signup closed

Dave Buche, Kouts ShareFest Donations Coordinator, has arranged for shopping carts from Tysens Market with signs to be present at church collection points. Simply announce the drive, and gather items through Sunday, October 11. Donated items will benefit the Pleasant Township Food Pantry.

Pleasant Township Food Pantry services the needs of both Pleasant and Morgan Townships. Township Trustee, Jean Oehlman, mentioned that they expect even greater needs than usual this year and a tightening on the resources available to meet those needs.

While nonperishable food items (not packaged in glass) are always welcome, clients often need and greatly appreciate items that cannot be secured with food stamp aid. These include personal hygiene items, toiletries, detergents, paper products, and such. Pointing that out in our drive will benefit the Pantry with some items that are a little more out of the ordinary.

On Oct. 10, the day of ShareFest, carts and items will be dropped off at Tysens parking lot to seek other donations from the community.
