Partnering together…

Anyone and everyone is welcome to participate in ShareFest.  We hope every church will invite their members to serve on October 10!  Those who have participated these past few years have enjoyed the deeper connections they have found with each other, with the community, and with their faith.

But some churches go beyond simple participation and become partners, taking responsibility for mobilizing people and resources and making the event happen. This requires…

Leadership

Each partner church has a designated leader to carry the torch and wave the banner.  It can be a pastor, but it certainly doesn’t have to be.  This person will oversee the promotion of ShareFest in your church and give leadership to the project you choose. They will be asked to attend all ShareFest leadership meetings in your city.

Financial Support

Each partner church contributes $1 per adult weekend attender.  So, for example, if your average weekly Sunday morning adult attendance is 100, then you are asked to contribute $100 to ShareFest. (This is a great time for pastors to be optimistic with those attendance numbers!)  Checks should be made payable to Valparaiso Christian Ministerial Association and can be turned in at any city leadership meeting.

Project Selection

Each partner church is asked to choose a project that they will oversee on the day of ShareFest.  Some projects can be totally covered by a single church, while other projects include volunteers from several churches.  And some churches decide to tackle several projects!

Promotion

Partner churches are asked to promote ShareFest through bulletin and pulpit announcements, starting 4-6 weeks in advance. Posters, brochures, table displays, and DVDs are all available. Contact your city director to get some for your church.

Registrations

See your city’s page here on the website to find out how online registrations are being handled this year.
